Made of Cowhide. Vegetable Tanned Leather is an authentic leather type. Vegetable Tanning is the traditional method of tanning leather and has been around for thousands of years. The process is time consuming and should only be done by skilled craftsmen. With the complexity of the process vegetable tanned leather will develop patina over time and tough on hard duty. The process is including removing the hide/hair removal and soaking it in natural vegetable dye. The dye that used are from tree, wood, fruit or root, making the waste of the dye is safe for environment. Vegetable dyed leather can also be called as sustainable / organic as we only use vegetable to bring out the natural color.

Color Evolution / Aging Process
The research of Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium showing result how vegetable tanned leather that exposed to light source for period of time is equal as leather that been worn for months or years. From the research it also found that factor of color changing based on time, frequent use, light exposure, humidity or how long it exposed to heat. Vegtan leather is unique and have bold characteristic as they aged naturally by frequent usage. Below is shown of how “Undyed Natural Leather” may aged / color changing over time
